Get Involved

The Science Alive Team consists mainly of college students (some alumni and faculty) pursuing various degrees in science. Each student has a unique interest and reason for becoming involved in the scientific community. To learn more about some of our students and what inspires them, follow the link below.
Each week, we conduct science activities with Nova Blanche Elementary School students. These activities are designed to engage the students and get them excited about exploring the many different fields of science. We also work with the NSU Alvin Sherman Library and other educational groups. To learn more about these activities, follow the link below.
There are many different ways to get involved with Science Alive, from participating as a group leader to donating to the program. To learn more about how you can get involved, follow the link below.

Volunteers are responsible for attending all of the events that they can and helping with the activities. Participating as a volunteer group member is a great way to learn more about what we do, and see if you are interested in becoming a group leader in the future. If you are interested in participating as a volunteer please contact:

Intern/Group Leader:

Each of our subject matter groups has two leaders. These leaders are in charge of developing the activities, as well as leading the activity at Nova Blanche Elementary School. Each semester these leaders develop three new activities to keep the students interested and engaged. If you are interested in becoming a group leader at the start of next semester, please contact:
